The winner will get a tablet and the second prize a day in the "Balneario de Mazarrón - Hotel Sensol"
The Town Council of Mazarrón, through the Department of Equality, has called the 1st Photography Competition "Day of the Woman" in which the municipality wishes to acknowledge the work of women in social life as well as promoting photographic creativity among citizens. The competition is open to all amateur photographers residing in the municipality who may submit up to 2 works which should be related to women.
Photographs must be original and unpublished and registration to participate in the contest is free. The printed copies must be submitted and accompanied by a digital file on CD in which appears a pseudonym of the author and title of the work. The participant's name, NIE number, telephone number and title of the photograph should also be provided.
The contest includes two awards. The winner of the contest will be given a diploma and a tablet and second place is one day with lunch at the "Balneario de Mazarrón - Hotel Sensol" for 2 people and a diploma. This award is sponsored by the hotel. The winning photographs will remain with the Department of Equality, while the remaining works will be returned to their authors. The jury that decides the awards will be made by various professional photographers and representatives of the City of Mazarrón.
The deadline for papers is open until Thursday 5 March to be delivered to “concejalia de politica social”, c / San Antonio 12, 30870 Mazarron (Murcia). The works will be exhibited at the Town Hall on 8 March, International Women's Day, the jury's verdict and giving awards being given on March 10. For more information please call 968 59 23 94.
