A weekly market, an internal train and Social Centre office are part of the first steps for improvements for the urbanisation.
Thursday 11th August day saw the first weekly market on Camposol which will be held every Thursday. In total we had 126 stalls selling all kinds of items among which include a large number of fruit and vegetable stalls, dozens of stands of clothing, bags, glasses and various accessories, as well as household items, ceramic and even music CDs. Kiosks have been installed for take-away roast chicken, churros and hot dogs.
Councillor in charge of Foreign Residents, José Gómez, has visited the merchants of posts accompanied by the councilman of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Coy Isidro, and the Mayoress of El Saladillo, Raquel Conerlia Ensor a hamlet belonging to urbanisation. Gomez commented that "there has been an influx of buyers especially first thing in the morning and were almost entirely foreign." Gomez has also explained that in the coming weeks will expand the number of traders attending the market "as there are fifty applicaions that are pending processing and approval."
The market is located in sector "A" next to the shopping area and train stops. This train has also been enabled by the new government team that has struggled to meet the historic demand of the citizens of Camposol. The train, which passes through the 4 sectors of the development, open daily from 12 noon to 3 pm and 6 pm to 12 pm, linking the major tourist areas such as trade and hotel "Sensol Balneario de Mazarrón."
Also, the Town Council has authorized an office in the Social Centre so the residents of Camposol can collect various documents or ask for help to solve the problems they face with some services such as lighting or water. An employee of the consistory conveniently speaks several languages and can process their requests. It is anticipated that this service will soon be expanded and can function as if it were a single window by using a bag of mail.
Gomez, Coy and Cornelia, who have received the congratulations of the residents have also heard some of their proposals and demands. In this regard, some improvement that have already occurred in the provision of water service and have requests that are also being addressed with regard to problems that exists with the street lighting. Gomez explained, "we are already working on the issue of lighting and from September we should be seeing the first results."
