HONOUR SAN CAYETANOE THIS WEEK

The festivities will run this year by Andrés Navarro Aznar

This Thursday starts the events planned to mark the feast day of San Cayetano, patron of the corners. Starting at 7 pm Mass will be held in honor of the Saint in the Church of La Purisima de Mazarrón, followed by a procession to move the image to the Town.

On Friday, from 9.30pm will be the cry of the festivities by Andrés Navarro Aznar and the crowning of the queens. There are also scheduled performances of "Trio Yomagen," a raffle with gifts and a piñata for children with free toys.

On Saturday, events begin at 6 pm with a ribbon race horse, after which there will be a beauty contest. At night are scheduled performances of "Riki", "Ines Oak" and comedian "Fog." Also a “migas” competition (spanish dish) as well as two piñatas. One for the children with free toys and another for elderly people with various gifts.

Sunday starting at 6 pm there is a contest with prizes for the top 3, and a new piñata for children with free toys. Later, performances will take place by "Sebastian" and "Dionysus" and to close the festivities a piñata for the elderly with major gifts.

San Cayetano was an Italian priest who was born with the name of Gaetano Thiene di Vicenza (northern Italy) in October 1480 and died in Naples on August 7, 1547, her feast day.
