MATCH REPORT FOR MAZARRÓN FC - 1 APRIL

Mazarron 0 Pinatar 4
With Mazarron once again having to field a weakened team due to the Juvenile match earlier in the day the performance against Pinatar reflected it and they were again easily beaten by a far better team who managed to play good football despite the ever worsening condition of the pitch.
Early exchanges were even but in the 10th minute a Pinatar forward made a break down the right wing and was clearly fouled. The whole of the Mazarron defence waited for the whistle which never came and an unmarked forward easily put the ball into to net.
Shortly after this Edu made a good save only to see the ball hit a Pinatar forward and end up in the net. Fortunately, this was disallowed for offside but in the 18th minute a similar save from Edu was hit back in towards the goal and hit the bar before going in.
In the 23rd minute Diego put through his own goal when he was first to a corner and unluckily saw the ball glance off his head into the net to give the visitors a 3-0 half time lead.
In the second half, Mazarron came more into the game and on several occasions could have scored with Edin breaking clear of the defence but being unable to capitalise on his efforts.
Following a bad decision, coach Jelco was then red carded for his comments and had to spend the rest of the game by the side of the dugout in the stand!
The game then seemed to peter out with the 4th goal for Pinatar coming in the 79th minute.
Team: Edu, Matt Clarke, Pollo, Diego, Ahmed, Chico, Guillermo, Alfonso, Edin, Jaguar (Habibe), Martin (Jose).
Man of the match: Ahmed
