This weekend the beach of La Reya, popularly known as
"Bahia Grande", hosts a beach soccer tournament which was presented
by the Councilman for Sports Hall of Mazarrón, Andres Valera, and field
technician, Cesar Campos. The Councillor said that "following successful
school beach volleyball championships, paddle tennis and beach volleyball for
adults which have been held in La Reya, it will host a new event, as the sand
of this beach is ideal for holding this type of sports. "
Cesar Campos explained that "we already have a sufficient number of teams to carry out the tournament, but registration is still open until Wednesday June 12." The draw for the matches will be held on Thursday, June 13 and the registration fee per team (you will need to have a maximum of 12 players) is 200€. "Each team will play a minimum of 3 games, because during Saturday 15 there will be a group stage while on Sunday 16 will be a single knockout game."
It will be a tournament that will feature "a high level," said Andrew Valera, as they "have the presence of several Spanish team players and from the Club Deportivo, Murcia, who were sub champions of beach soccer" .
The champions will pocket € 1,500 in cash and a trophy while the runner up will receive €500 and a trophy. There will also be trophies for the semi-finalists, the best player of the tournament for goalkeeping and also the top scorer of the appointment. For more information or registration, interested parties can call the Department of Sports 968 59 18 52 or mobile numbers to 606 87 81 00 (Borja) or 660 17 33 02 (Fernando).
