The Specialty Care Centre for Women Victims of Domestic
Violence (CAVI) of Mazarrón Town Hall will give briefings to inform the
residents what gender violence is, what to do in a situation like this and will
also raise awareness of the Centre and the activities developed from it. The
talks will begin on November 8 at the Community Centre at 8pm in Pastrana.
On Monday November 12, CAVI travel to the Theatre Hall of La Majada where from 8.30pm the talks are aimed at the residents of Majada, Atalaya and Ganuelas. In Cañada de Gallego the briefing will be held on Thursday November 15th from 8.30pm in the Local Social del Centro de Lectura while the Salon Social of Leiva will host the talk on Wednesday 21 November also from 8.30pm. Throughout the first quarter of 2013 other districts will be included.

November 25 marks the International Day against Violence against Women and, for this reason, various events will be developed by the City Council of Mazarrón. On Monday November 12 at the Center CAVI starting at 4.30pm, a workshop will be held titled “Taller de Lazos Solidarios”.
Councillor for Equality, Maria Martinez, commented that "all associations, neighbours and residents of our town are invited to attend, who are sensitized to the eradication of this social evil that is gender violence." The workshop will be held in the premises of the Concejalía de la Mujer located at Calle Fernández Caballero, Montesinos Building, 1 E.
