The Hiking Club “Amigos de la Naturaleza” will be holding a conference on Sunday November 25 whose main objective is that participants learn to distinguish which mushrooms and fungi are edible and which are not. To do this, the event will feature two professional instructors in search of mushrooms and will be helped with collaboration from the club “Falco” from Cehegín.
The sessions are priced at 10 euros per person for those who are federated, and 13 euros for other participants and whom must have compulsory insurance cover. The departure is scheduled at 8 am from the "La Aceña" Sports Hall in Mazarrón and participants should come prepared with a knife, basket, suitable footwear and food, in addition to their own car.
The sessions will offer tips for collecting mushrooms, be informed of the best places to pick mushrooms and fungi in different habitats, taught to classify mushrooms and fungi collected and eventually taught to cook and preserve these foods.
