Meeting at 8am on the 25th November at the Tourist Office, Moratalla.
This 5 hour walk will start at 8am from
El Somogil de Abajo, passing by the small cabins and Baños de Somogil to tour the
gorge, and special protection area for birds, mainly eagles and doves, visited
by otters and mountain goats. We will find impressions of dolomites and a
stunning amber deposit first described in the seventeenth century by a priest
who recorded it as gold mine. We arrive at the waterfalls, Poza de las Tortugas...
this place is always ideal for surprise.
Don´t forget walking boots, long
trousers, warm jacket, food and a drink, gloves, sun protection, sun glasses
and camera. Due to safety, please do NOT bring dogs.
