The Musical Association "Maestro Eugenio Calderon"
will perform the second concert of the culture cycle "Conciertos
en familia" with the staging of the musical tale "Peer Gynt", a children's story that chronicles the adventures
and misadventures of a rogue and fanciful character
who never became an adult.
The concert will take place on Saturday
May 26 starting at 8 pm in the school
"La Aceña" in Mazarrón.
This story of Carmen Santonja is based on the play by Norwegian Henrik Ibsen and the music is a selection of Suites No. 1 and No. 2 composed by fellow romantic composer Edvard Grieg. The adaptation of Carmen Santonja has made the greatest play written by Ibsen for an entertaining story for children.
Peer Gynt, the hero of this tale is a strange character, clever and talkative, which is given to the most daring adventures, not brave, but unconscious. Peer Gynt is a character that should not be considered a role model, but quite the opposite. His story is a waste of misadventures to learn what not to do.
The musical tale is narrated by Juan Jose Miñarro Alcazar and the music will be provided by the music band of The Music Association "Maestro Eugenio Calderon" directed by Alejandro Castañeda Martínez. The Association has music for this activity with the assistance of the City of Mazarrón and the school "La Aceña". Admission to the concert is free.
