"FRIENDS OF NATURE" ORGANIZE A TRIP TO NERPIO FOR 26 AND 27 MAY
The hiking club "Friends of Nature" has organized a trip to Nerpio (Albacete) for 26th and May 27th. The trip is scheduled for 8 am on 26th and the return on 27th after lunch. Anyone over 6 years old can participate. The idea is that both the trip to Nerpio, and the return, be conducted in several cars of the participants.
As must cover a minimum of participants, the "Friends of Nature" have called a meeting for next Wednesday 23 May in the sports hall "La Aceña" starting at 9pm to see if it is possible to make the trip. There will be various adventure and nature activities such as zip or climbing wall. For more information please call 680 53 15 29 and ask for Rafael Peral.
Also, the club has organized for this Sunday 13 a route observation of nest boxes to the Sierra del Algarrobo. The departure is planned for 9.45am from the sports hall "The Aceña" and the return is expected around 1 pm. You will need transport to drive to the crossroads of the mountain where the journey then begins on foot. The old can climb to Alto de la Perdiz, while children watch the nest boxes, to enjoy the fabulous views.
The club is open to participants on Saturday 12 May for an environmental volunteer activity group organized by the Autonomous Community of Murcia. This activity consists in tracking carnivores such as badgers and genets in the neighbouring town of Alhama de Murcia. The screening will begin at 9 am, so the planned departure from Mazarrón is 8.15am and the return would be about 1 pm.
If anyone is interested in participating in the latter activity telephone 680 531 529 before 2 pm on Friday 11th. The hiking club "Friends of Nature" is one of the most active associations in the municipality and its activities are always related to environmental protection and protection of natural areas. It also participates actively in Civic Participation boards Environment, Sports and Youth.
