The two tribes bikers will enjoy intense activities on 12 and 13 May
Mazarrón has been the place chosen to hold the first national meeting in Murcia of "Mod & Rockers" which is being organized by the Biker Associations “Pimentón Scooter Rally” and “Motor Kulture”. The meeting was presented on 2 May by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, who was accompanied by the Councillor for Tourism, Culture and Education, Maria Celeste Soria, Event Organizers Feliz Reverte and Ángel Sánchez and singer "Lorena Lozano and Twistin Mamellicos”.
The two tribes bikers will meet on 12 and 13 May and enjoy a full programme of activities which will begin with a reception on Saturday 12th from 11am in Hotel Playa Grande for participants. From there, both tribes will begin the route scheduled to meet separately, first in the Marina, and then again in La Majada where they will enjoy a dinner.
In the afternoon the hotel "Playa Grande" will host a battle of djs and games and a barbecue and performances from groups "Pinball Wizard" and "Lorena Lozano and Twistin Mamellicos”. The party will continue until dawn with the awards ceremony and music related to these two tribes bikers. On Sunday 13 is organized a bazaar, exhibitions and related cultures "Mod" and "Rocker" also in that hotel.
At this first meeting is expected the participation of about 500 bikers of both tribes and other motorsports enthusiasts. As explained by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, "after the good experience we had in February with the “Pimentón Scooter Rally” we decided to support this initiative, which also falls within the activities that are taking place on the occasion of the celebration of the 440th anniversary of being granted the “privilegio de villa”.
For its part, the organizers, Félix Reverte and Angel Sanchez thanked the City Councils support in carrying out this activity and reported feeling very excited about this first meeting of "Mod & Rockers".
Activities also include concerts by "Pinball Wizard", a group within the current frame "Mod" and "Lorena Lozano and Twistin Mamellicos" whose music is an example of culture "Rocker". The singer of the latter group, Lorena Lozano, explained that a whole disc will be released soon with themes interpreted in the "battle" that has developed between the two bands from midnight Saturday for the modest price of 10 euros.
