MAMMA MIA CONCERT - MAZARRÓN, JULY 20TH



The popular musical "Mama Mia" comes to Puerto de Mazarrón to raise funds to benefit the Mazarrón board of  la Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer (AECC). The performance will take place on Saturday July 20 at the stadium "Playasol" from 21:30 hours and has been promoted by the Universidad Popular de Mazarrón (UPM) and sponsored by various agencies and companies among which is the City of Mazarrón. The show was officially presented by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, the President of the local board of the AECC in Mazarrón, Luisa María Heredia, Director of the UPM, José María López, and representatives of the association "Implik2" Victor Camara and Raquel Solano.

Maria Luisa Heredia explained that "already on sale are tickets for the price of 10€ in various parts of the town. This is a great social event in which citizens can participate with a symbolic contribution, but that is a big help for those people who are affected by this disease. " The places where you can buy tickets are the stores of Antonio García, Atmósfera Sport, Colesport, bar Montiel in La Atalaya, service station BP and centro de salud in Cañada de Gallego, churrería La Veterana, restaurante El Caldero, El Portillo, electrodomésticos Serrano, the “estanco” next to the Church of San José, floristería María José, Folder, Fontanería Ramón, Fotos López, bar La Fundición, restaurante El Matas, Muebles Reyamar, Puertobaño, Taller Norberto and the Tourist Office in Puerto de Mazarrón. 

The President of the AECC in the municipality thanked "the support provided by the city, thanks to the enthusiasm and great willingness shown by Mayor Ginés Campillo, and the other sponsors such as Perichán, Agrimur, Hortisa, Comercial Las Moreras, Aquabel, Agrícola Josemar, Mazalia, bodegas Pedro Navarro and bodegas Pedro Martínez”.  Heredia also recognized "the work of the media Telesatélite Mazarrón, La Voz de Mazarron and Costa Calida Radio for their involvement."

The President of the association, Victor Camara, explained that "for seven years we have been working with other associations to bring up diverse projects which have led to the music scene over thirty times, always with great reception from our viewers ". Secretary of "Implik2" Raquel Solano, explained that "this representation is a blockbuster such as we find in Madrid, but locally. It involves nearly 40 actors on a stage of 140 square meters where there will be music, song, dance, light, colour and lots going for it, and those who want it are encouraged to dance. "

The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, congratulated all those involved in this activity, "it is an example of joint efforts aimed at the achievement of a good success, and in which governments have a duty to participate, as no only are we are obliged to co-operate with the various associations but must show a special sensitivity towards such "and recalled that" the AECC in Mazarrón has our full support to carry out this and other activities. " The Mayor asked "the residents and tourists to enjoy this show to help in contributing for further work in the fight against this disease."
