May arrives, and with it, the Theatre seizes the Universidad
Popular de Mazarrón (UPM) where during the month will place the "A escena"
consisting of the XVIII Conference on Children's Theatre, the XIII Youth
Theatre and several performances also from adults in the municipality. The
Adult Theatre programme kicks out of this programme with the works “La consulta de don
Tony” and “Los amores de Gerineldo Tenorio”, performed s by the theater
group "El Talayón" that will take place this Saturday 4th May from
22.00 in the auditorium of the UPM.
During the rest of the month at the same time, you can enjoy three plays aimed at adults. Specifically, on Saturday 11th the group “Guante Blanco” interpret the play “El lago de las niñas malas”. Saturday 18th will be the turn of the theater group of the Centro de Día de Puerto de Mazarrón with a performance of "La Verbena de la Paloma". Finally, on Friday 24 and Saturday 25, the theatre workshop UPM will stage the play “Las alianzas”.
In regard to the XVIII Conference of Youth Theatre, this will be developed from Tuesday 7 to Monday, May 13 and performances will take place, this time, from 18:30. They will feature schools "Infanta Leonor" with the work “Un gran atleta”, the "San Antonio" from Cañada de Gallego " La sonrisa de un reino”, the "Ginés García" staging “La ratita coqueta”, and school "La Canadica" with “El otro cuento de caperucita roja” and the "Manuela Romero" in the Port performing "El pais de Cataplan".
Three works from the XIII Conference of Youth Theatre, in this case, will be held at 8pm at the same place. On Tuesday 14th the Institute "Antonio Hellin" is staging the play “Perdidos y sin Wassap”. On Thursday 16th the theatre group “Alquimia” from school "Siglo XXI" perform “Una mirada hacia el futuro”. Finally, the institute "Domingo Valdivieso" youth conference will close on Friday 17 with the play “Amores en Mesina”. Admission to all performances is free.
