San Isidro Fiesta starts this Friday May 10 at 19 pm with
fireworks and marching band drums and bugles of San Jose that will be
accompanied by the Majorettes of Barrio San Isidro. That night the group
"Jam" began to give musical performances.
On Saturday the 11th is the day of tribute to Antonia Torres Santiago and concert by "Los Luisos". On Sunday the 12th "Sarabia" gives a tribute to "Medina Azahara", while Monday is the day for children. On Tuesday 14 local artists will take to the stage. On Wednesday the 15th, day of the Patron, sees traditional Mass and a procession through the streets of the neighbourhood, with Rondalla de San Isidro. On Thursday 16 will see local artists and new art encouraging the parties.
From Friday 17, sees the highlights of the celebrations with a performance by "Liverpool", who have already proven themselves in Mazarrón last summer. On Saturday 18 there will be a musical revue by comedian known as Manolo Royo which will feature magic, ballet, acrobatic dance and the voice of Noelia Zanon.
Finally, on Sunday the 18th will be the convivial meal involving associations, neighbourhoods and districts of the municipality. The Festival Committee will award attendees with a giant paella. The evening will close with a performance by singer Karmen Rivero. The prizes for competitions and championships give an end to the festivities of San Isidro 2013.
