9 teams from the provinces of Murcia,
Alicante and Almeria participate in this competition
A weekend of sport will be starting in Mazarrón through the celebration on Saturday June 9th of the I Soccer Tournament "Ciudad de Mazarrón" which was organized by club “Mazarrón Fútbol Base” with the assistance of the City of Mazarrón. This new sports event was presented by the Sports Councillor, Andres Valera, and one of the organizers of the tournament and club coach, Roberto Carlos Lucas.
The tournament which includes the participation of 9 teams will compete in the categories for Benjamín Fútbol 8 and Infantil Fútbol 11. These teams are the “Mazarrón Fútbol Base”, the “Real Murcia C.F.”, the “Cartagena F.C.”, the “Elche C.F.” the “C.D. Eldense”, the “U.D. Almería”, the “Ranero F.C.”, the “C.D. Oriol” and the Selección Murciana de Fútbol. The meetings will begin at 9 am at the Sports Complex "Media Leagua" situated between Mazarrón and Puerto de Mazarrón.
Starting at 4 pm will see the semifinals, while the finals will take place at 6 pm. Once finished the tournament will proceed to the awards ceremony which will be attended by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, and the Mayor of Sports, Andres Valera, plus "participation from the players of "Real Murcia "Alberto Cifuentes and Oscar Sanchez "as revealed Roberto Carlos Lucas.
The Councillor for Sports, Andres Valera, said that "this is a new opportunity to enjoy sport in Mazarrón and, this time, we will see the youngest players and children of some of the biggest teams in our region and our neighbouring provinces. "
