The Merchants Association of Mazarrón and Comarca (Acoma) is 20 years old and is preparing to celebrate with a very special gala to be held on Saturday June 9 in the Paseo de la Sal in Puerto de Mazarrón from 8pm.
During the gala you can enjoy performances by Rondalla de Mazarrón, the gym, "Bahia Sur", the Sevillanas group "Antonio Jara" and the rock band "Lobesia". Also during the celebration over 50 gifts will be raffled among participants who have previously made a purchase in the retail associates.
Acoma was born 20 years ago by a group of merchants in Mazarrón that began with a series of meetings aimed at addressing issues and in 1992, it constituted as an association. This association is one of the first to be created in the municipality and most have defended the need to promote the association to advance the economic and social development of Mazarrón.
Born nonprofit, Acoma was established to bring together all the merchants that would maintain their establishments open throughout the year and to combat seasonality that occurs in coastal areas and against excessive competition from supermarkets. Furthermore, this association belongs to the Confederación de Empresarios del Bajo Guadalentín, which has been represented by its President since 2001.
