"HOLI RUN" ADVENTURE / SPUME RUN

Mazarrón will return this summer to the festival of colour and sport known under the brand "Holi Run". 

It will be on August 19 with a new Spume Run of five kilometers by our coast with departure and finish from the esplanade of the Sunday market of Puerto de Mazarrón.

More than 5,000 young people will gather during the months of July and September in the leisure and sporting events of the Holi Run, according to the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Adela Martínez-Cachá, who presented the programming with the Director General of Youth, Francisco Sánchez, and the Councillors of Youth of the municipalities that will welcome the activities.

The event includes races of coloured foam, water battles and music parties with DJs. "After the success achieved last year, this year the Holi Run will be extended to the municipalities of Aguilas, San Pedro del Pinatar, San Javier, Mazarrón, Abarán and Alcantarilla," said Martinez-Cachá.

The novelty of this summer will be the 'Holi Day Festival', which will be held in San Javier on 12 and 13 August. During these two days there will be a big party with DJ music, dancing, water battles, inflatable slides with swimming pool, coloured foam cannons and activities for the whole family.

The Spume Run takes place in Aguilas on July 15, in Mazarrón on August 19 and in Abarán, on September 3. 

On this occasion the participants will be able to run in foam baths for five kilometers. The kilometer points will be marked by the Spume Point, which are stations with guns that will throw coloured foam. A race that will be set with music and dance shows.

The Holi Day Party will be held in San Pedro del Pinatar on July 29 and in Alcantarilla on September 16. Some of the activities that can be performed during this event are the 'Holi Boom', a burst of coloured powder, as well as the water battle, the foam party and the 'Bodypainting', which will fill the attendees with colour .

The Minister stressed that "these events, which are aimed at young people, also become an important attraction for tourists during the summer months."
