The
programming of the festival of San Jose will have its main event on Saturday
March 19, the day on which up to seven events take place and culminates with the
concert of "Conecta2" in the Plaza of the Autonomous Communities and
the release of 1,200 Chinese solidarity lanterns to benefit Caritas and the
young girl Paula Valdivia.
The start
of the concert is scheduled at 9.30pm and the launch of lanterns will be around
10.30pm. After midnight there will be a fireworks display.
Earlier in the morning,
a Zumba master class benefits the Spanish Association Against Cancer and at
12:00pm, the Mass of San José takes place with the subsequent performance of Curro
Piñana.
Later there will be the traditional procession with the image of the
Patron of Puerto de Mazarrón. In the afternoon, at 4pm at the beach of Puerto
de Mazarrón, a Bubble Football championship will be held.
San José
fiestas events and shows have been organised for all audiences and have been taking place
since 13 March, as detailed by Councillor for Celebration, Patricio Sánchez,
including 2 x 1 fair, childrens shows, cultural routes, a meal for Pensioners and other sporting
events such as a tennis tournament taking place between 18, 19 and 20 March.
On Sunday
March 20, at 4.30pm, the Asociación de Comerciantes de Mazarrón y Comarca
(ACOMA), have organised a fashion show to benefit the Red Cross and at 6pm the
draw for Ruta Aperitivo will be held.
