Mazarrón will feature various shows for the month of August
thanks to the installation of a portable bullring in the Playa Grande by the
company "Coso de los Califas SL". This exhibition area will host a
concert by the group "Ecos del Rocio, the summer "Grand Prix
" and a horse show. The activities are supported and have the cooperation
of the City of Mazarrón that works hard to promote private initiatives like
this in the municipality. The head of the company, Fermin Vioque, stressed that
"the installation in Puerto de Mazarrón has been a success and the success
that comes from it will benefit the municipality."
The first date is Friday 10 August when, from 21:30 pm the "Grand Prix" takes place, a show that took place last summer and was very successful. So much so that it already has the quota of teams which will be “Gimnasio Olimpo”, “Punto y Coma”, “Frutas Arias Mazarrón”, “Panadería Yves”, “Gimnasio Bahía Sur” y “Ayuntamiento de Mazarrón”. Responsible for organizing the "Grand Prix", Alberto Lopez, explained that "you can buy advance tickets to the show at popular prices of €5 for children and €10 for adults."
On Friday 17 August, at the same time, it will be the turn of a horse show where attendees can enjoy dressage, and flamenco and dance that will merge with horses in a display in which the animal, dancer and rider become one. The show's director is José Munuera and advance tickets are available also for €10 for adults and €5 for children.
Finally on Friday August 24 the group "Ecos del Rocío" will perform their new songs and some of their classics from 10pm. The concert can be enjoyed from the stands for €15 and €20 euros for a seat. The night will feature the group's collaboration with "Aires de Mazarrón" which, surely, will bring alive the evening with their art and joy.
Tickets for the concert are available from the Tourist Office in Puerto de Mazarrón and other parts of the municipality including Heladaría “Copo de Oro” and Bar “Sabina” in Mazarrón; Restaurant “Punto y Coma” and “Los Galayos”, Bar “Privé” in the Port; Bar “Sol” in Cañada de Gallego, “Óscars” in Camposol and Restaurante “La Azohía”.
