We have been asked by our translator, Audrey Haigh to advise people of the car parking situation at the new Los Arcos hospital del Mar Menor.. As you turn into the hospital, there is a free car park on the right. A little closer, and at the back of the hospital are the long term car parks with an hourly charge of 94c (daily rate of 9.40c.) The URGENCIAS Car park is free for the first 30 mins, but the charges are then astronomical eg. 1 hour 1.15c, 3 hours 19.65, 8 hours 52.40c, max daily charge of 65.50c. Please be aware of these charges before you park, as waiting times in the hospital can sometimes be quite long.
