Mazarron hamlet of Los Rincones will hold until Sunday its
festivities in honour of San Cayetano. The programme of events begins this
Thursday, August 6, at 7 pm, with Mass at the Santuario de la Purísima before a
procession to Los Rincones, where a snack will be offered to attendees.
On Friday August 7 will be the traditional proclamation,
this year by Mazarrono and high school teacher, Salvador Sanchez Yepes. It will
be at 9.30pm at the fairgrounds. Then there will be the election of queens,
ending with a performance by the Group Sevillanas Morata and a raffle of gifts.
On Saturday, August 8, at 7.30pm, there is a display of
equestrian dressage by the Ortiz brothers. At 9.30pm, dance performances by
Playas de Percheles and Andrés Mendoza García. Later there will be a “migas”
contest and a pinata for gifts.
Los Rincones parties end on Sunday August 9 with a
performance by Autogiro group, a pinata for gifts and closing celebrations.
