The initiative that assists the Department of Trade of the
City of Mazarrón aims to help small and medium traders in the Town by offering
stalls in a thoroughfare during the long weekend of August, one of the best
selling dates of the year.
During the first edition of this event held last
year participating Merchants came to raise 30m Euros, as confirmed by Francisca
Madrid, President of Acoma, la Asociación de Comerciantes
de Mazarrón y Comarca.

Municipality overs a very important part of the economic fabric of Mazarrón,
which is holding up very well despite the crisis, even generating jobs."
The Mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Garcia, expects "the
large concentration of citizens visiting Puerto de Mazarrón will have a substantial
impact on benefits for small businesses that are in the Municipality." The
Mayor hopes that expectations are exceeded, after the good data provided last

ReplyDeleteLets do the numbers shall we ...
ReplyDelete10 stalls for five days for seven hours a day (assuming that they all close at 02:00) - thats 350 trading hours.
€30,000,000 as identified above as the turnover divided by 350 = €85,700.
Are we really supposed to believe that all of these stalls are taking €85,700 each and every hour that they are open??
Don't think so .......
