This weekend Amateur Cultural Association
"Costa Blanca" (ACRACB) moves from Alicante to Mazarrón to hold a conference in the International
Amateur Competition "Castillos de España". The said association, in
collaboration with the Radio Club Mazarrón and the City through the departments
of Tourism and Heritage, will be operating
at Castillo de los Vélez y la Torre de los Caballos to carry out this
contest.
Specifically, this Saturday 22 September will be at Castle of Vélez from 9 to 1pm, and Sunday 23 will be at Torre de los Caballos at the same time. For this initiative stations and antennas installed in these locations that operate “hams” in Mazarrón and Murcia, are expected to make 1000 contacts with other “hams” in Spain and other parts of the Mediterranean.
The Radio Club Mazarrón invites all citizens to approach the historical monuments to discover how the competition unfolds and how connections are made between different “hams”. The initiative took place a few days ago from the Torre de Santa Isabel in La Cumbrewhere they made more than 250 contacts in just two hours. It is also expected soon to be operable from the Molinete and el Castillo del Calentín.
After 18 years of the establishment of the Diploma Castles of Spain (DCE), the Amateur Cultural Association "Costa Blanca", in collaboration with the Diploma Castles of Spain, has aired this new release entitled "DCE 1.0". A version "modern and suited to our times. With innovation and change and whose purpose is to promote our history, castles, fortifications, towers, lookout, etc " said a spokesperson from ACRACB.
