Mazarrón FC report: Ucam Guadalupe 4 Mazarron FC 0

On an early Sunday Morning with a 10.15 am kick off, when suspensions, injuries, work commitments and fiestas meant many players were missing, it seemed that those who were on the pitch had also forgotten to turn up. Mazarron contributed absolutely nothing to the game and were fortunate that Guadalupe took pity on them and only scored 4 goals.
Within 3 minutes, the score was 2 – 0 with Guadalupe scoring with their first attack from a 25 yard shot and then scoring a second more or less straight afterwards following  a Mazarron corner! The ball was cleared, Jose missed a through ball and it ended up in the net.
No more goals came in the first half but there was time for Robert to have his usual show of petulance with the referee booking him for dissent. He then went for a 50/50 ball with the keeper and a defender and came out of this holding his side and complaining. This time his protest went on far too long and he was eventually given a red card by the referee. Even then he continued with his antics and it was quite some time before the match resumed.
All that can be said of the second half is that Guadalupe scored twice and missed several sitters leaving the end result as 4 – 0. There was time, however, for an English lad named Max to make his debut. I wonder what he made of things.
Man of the match Diego (snr) with Alcaraz in second place.
Team: Peru, Jose, Borja, Diego, Diego (jr.) (Habibe), Guillermo (Ahmed), Alcaraz, Juan Antonio, Alfonso, Pepe (Max), Robert.
This Sunday, 4th December, Mazarron are at home to Puente Tocinos, kick off 4.30pm. As this is the last home game before Christmas, Los Amigos de Mazarron FC will be providing the traditional free mince pies, sausage rolls and cider for all supporters.
