The fiestas
of San José of Puerto de Mazarrón continue this weekend with children’s
activities on Sunday, March 19, at 11am
in the Plaza de las Comunidades Autónomas (Paseo Marítimo)with various workshops.
And in the afternoon, from 4pm, in the Church of San José.
A music
concert takes place at 10pm also at Plaza de las Comunidades Autónomas (Paseo
Marítimo) with a performance by Conecta2 on Saturday 18th, and a
Concert of Sacred Music in the Church of San José also on Saturday at 7pm
Sunday,
March 19, at 11:30 am, sees a Charity Master Class of Zumba, organized by the
Juan Antonio Iglesias Dance School. This takes place in the Plaza de las
Comunidades Autónomas (Paseo Marítimo)
The main
religious acts will be celebrated on the Patron's Day at 7:00pm with the Solemn
Mass conducted by the Parish Priest Abel Rosa, and continuing with the
traditional procession of the image of San José.
Another
attraction of the Festival of San José is the Tapa Route, where this year 17
establishments are offering their best snacks for the delight of the palate of
Mazarroneros and visitors. Three representatives of the registered premises
(Restaurante Avenida, Nueva Bodeguita and Tapería Perra Chica) accompanied the Councillor
of Festivities in the presentation of the programme and encouraged everyone to
participate in a route that will have numerous prizes for those who fill out
their passports (with a minimum of 10 stamps) that can be collected in
participating establishments. The passport must be presented at the Tourist
Office. The deadline will be Sunday, March 19th at 3pm, and the passport can be
deposited at the ice cream parlour “Venecia” on that day. The prize draw will
be held at 5pm in the Plaza de las Comunidades Autónomas (Paseo Marítimo).
The
expected fireworks display by the sea will take place at midnight from Saturday
18th to Sunday 19 March.
