The story goes back to the Middle Ages, myths and legends mix with
historical facts as the Moors and Christians vie for supremacy. And of course
there are the horses, draped with magnificient hand-embroidered mantels, hooves
painted gold, tails and manes braided, parading proudly through the town and
preparing for the culmination, beginning at 2 pm, of the race up the hill to
the Castle. This fiesta must be experienced to be believed, there is something
going on all day long and the atmosphere is absolutely amazing. Come along, for
