Los Canovas Players Present “Slices of Life”
3rd & 4th June

Los Canovas Players Present “Slices of Life”

The next production from The Los Canovas Players, in conjunction with Age Concern, will be two short plays taking “slices of life” from two situations, set in the 1980’s, about life, death, the council, families and a parrot called  Lenin ………

In the first play, a drama entitled “Big Cats” by Alec Baron, a married couple are faced with
re-housing when the house they have spent their whole married life in is due for demolishment. We follow their memories and fears up to the climax in the last scene.

In contrast “High Tea” by Peter Stallard is a light comedy. Set in Wales we spend a day with Edryn Pugh as he attempts to sort out a situation caused by his sister’s death (with the help of a parrot called Lenin).

The performances will be held in the theatre next to the Casa Cultura in Los Canovas, only 10 minutes drive from Camposol. The theatre is fully air conditioned, has disabled access and there will be ample parking in the village. Refreshments will be available before the performance, during the interval and at the end when tapas will also be available.

Performances will be on Friday 3rd June 2011 and Saturday 4th June 2011, curtain up at 8pm both nights.

Tickets, at 5€ each, are available through Age Concern or contact us direct on tel. 968 151149 or e-mail loscanovasplayers@gmail.com.
