The Murcian musician and composer Juan
Manuel Murani will offer a piano concert next to the
Erosions of Bolnuevo this Friday August 11th at 10.30pm

PAINTING EXHIBITION UNTIL 10 SEPTEMBER
José Manuel Peñalver will exhibit his work "Figuras y Paisajes" (Figures and
Landscapes) at the Casa del Mar in Puerto de Mazarrón (entrance to the
Fishing Pier) until 10 September.
Formed in the School of Arts and Crafts of Murcia, Peñalver
accumulates numerous prizes for different works that have been recognized in
the Regions of Murcia, Valencian Community and Andalusia.
He has also won
several quick paint contests.
It can be seen from Tuesday to Sunday from 10pm-1am and the
afternoons of Saturdays and Sundays from 11am-2pm

Summer Outlet Fair at Plaza Toneleros in Puerto de Mazarrón - 4th, 5th and 6th of August
The Department of Commerce of the City of
Mazarrón and the Association of Merchants of Mazarron and Comarca (ACOMA), in
collaboration with the media of the Municipality, organize a new edition of the
Summer Outlet Fair at Plaza Toneleros in Puerto de Mazarrón on the 4th, 5th and
6th of August in the afternoon between 7pm and 12am
The event was presented at a press
conference Wednesday by the Councillor of Commerce of the City of Mazarrón,
Marisol Vivancos and the Head of ACOMA, Paqui Lorenzo. On this occasion, eight
local establishments participate, which, like last year, incorporate trends to
the usual activity of outlet. The Mayor of Commerce, Marisol Vivancos,
encouraged the merchants of the Municipality to associate and enjoy the
advantages offered by ACOMA, which currently has around 90 partners.
Summer Outlet usually reinforces the sales
of the merchants in a period of great influx of visitors. In previous
occasions, sales of 30,000€ were recorded.
This year the distribution of the stalls has
changed, taking advantage of the spaces offered by the renovated Plaza
Toneleros of Puerto de Mazarrón.

FREE ACTIVITY IN PUERTO DE MAZARRÓN 3 & 4 AUGUST
The free activity 'A heritage of cinema', made by the
Ministry of Finance and Public Administrations, returns to the Port of Mazarrón
and can be visited on Thursday 3 and Friday 4 August from 8pm-12am on the Paseo
Maritimo
This initiative, which is touring the coast of the Region,
consists of a travelling tent that houses games with virtual reality glasses on
the region's heritage and a summer cinema area, where documentaries on regional
heritage will be uninterrupted .
Both the virtual games and the documentaries
have been produced by the Integra Foundation, an agency dependent on the
Ministry.
In Mazarrón the projections are focused on productions about
the locality, with documentaries and recreations about the enchanted city, the
archeology of Mazarrón and the history of the locality. The documentaries deal
with issues such as the railway system, the tower houses of the Region and the
defensive naval system of the Austrias.
The initiative is completed with a tent of more than 24m2
that has a virtual reality area in which visitors will have two game options, ‘El misterio de la Encomienda de Ricote’ which
through tests makes known The architecture of the Encomienda building and its
function as the headquarters of the Order of Santiago since its construction in
the XV century, and 'The old cathedral of Cartagena', which opens this year and
shows how this emblematic building was before being destroyed in the Civil War.
This event is carried out for the second consecutive year
due to the success of last summer, in which more than 5,000 people participated.
Mazarrón was the locality that had more public registered with near 1.000
visitors.
The objective of this activity, financed with European funds
Feder, is to make known the cultural and natural heritage of the Region of
Murcia, disseminate the regional heritage on the Internet using digital
techniques and offer an attractive and free activity during the summer period .
All documentaries are available on the Internet on the youtube channel 'Un
patrimonio de Cine'.
FREE GUIDED TOURS DURING AUGUST
The offerS range from cultural routes in Mazarrón and Puerto to boat trips or hiking through natural sites of great beauty.
Among the most popular are the nocturnal routes (Lágrimas de San Lorenzo and Luna Llena), the visit to the Mazarrón mines or to the Fish Market in Puerto de Mazarrón.

The registration period for each of the routes is seven days beforehand and remember to bring your NIE, wear comfortable shoes, sun protection and hat.
The offer of free guided tours continues throughout the year to add a total of 200 routes. With this, it is sought, as the Mayor of Tourism ensures, to seasonalise the activity in the Municipality.
LOS RINCONES FIESTA UNTIL 6 AUGUST
The hamlet of Los Rincones celebrates from 3 to 6 August
their Patron Saint festivities in honour of San Cayetano.
The festivities will begin on Thursday August 3 at 7pm with
the traditional Mass in the Sanctuary of the Purísima de Mazarrón and later the
procession with the image of the Patron of the hamlet takes place. Attendees
will enjoy a snack at the end of the tour.
On Friday, August 4, Lorena Coy will announce the
festivities in the fairground. After the proclamation, there will be a
performance by the singer Veronica Lozano. At midnight, great gifts in piñata.
On Saturday August 5, at 6pm is a pet contest. After the
celebration of popular games, the fairground will host performances by the
dance group De Rosa, followed by the singer Raul Palomo. At 11pm migas is
available and again great gifts from piñata ends the night
On Sunday, August 6 will be the children's fair from
7pm. At 9pm sees performance of the
dance school of Juan Antonio Iglesias and Albaicar
MAZARRÓN EXHIBITION UNTIL SEPTEMBER 30TH
The artist Nono García will exhibit his work in Casas
Consistorial until September 30. Under the title "La espera", the
painter from Murcia brings to Mazarrón an exhibition that will be inaugurated
on Friday, August 4 at 9:30pm
In "La espera" highlights are the lighting with which
the author endows his compositions. The exhibition "deals with the
creation of ideals by means of realistic techniques and presents us with
transience as proof of authenticity", according to his commissioner, Juan
García Sandoval.
The exhibition can be visited from Monday to Saturday from
10.00am-2pm and afternoons from Wednesday to Friday between 5.30pm-8pm. On
August 15, the room will remain closed.
The painter was born in Mula, and studied at the School of
Plastic Arts of Murcia.
Among his most recent awards is the Montblanc Prize and
his selection at the II Bienal Internacional de Acuarela Fabriano that takes
place in Italy. He has also designed the poster of Murcia Three Cultures in
2015 and the one of the Fair of Murcia in 2011.
