234 kilometres for HAH Mar Menor

On May 12th, four very generous people, will be walking from Portugal to Spain to raise funds for HAH.  Sandra Ramsay a Practitioner of Kinesiology and Hair Analysis at her clinic in Los Urrutias, her consultant husband Steve, and friends Shirley Branch and Tony Dickinson, co-ordinators of the WARM walking group are going for a walk!!  Not just any walk, an average of 23km per day from Porto in Portugal to Santiago de Compostela in Spain in just 10 days! Carrying back packs, their passports will be stamped at various points along the way to verify the distance
Sandra and Steve came to Spain in 2006 having spent many years in Australia where they raised 2 boys, who now,  in their 30;s live in America.  They must be very proud of Mum and Dad!!   Shirley and Tony, both avid walkers live amongst the olive groves in Cehegin with their 3 dogs.
Lesley Eburne HAH founder said “we are thrilled to bits that they have chosen to raise funds for us. I am filled with admiration as even the thought of walking one kilometre tires me out, they not only have kind hearts, but tremendous stamina”.
Would you, your neighbours , bar or business like to sponsor this terrific effort, whilst raising funds for HAH  helping them  to continue to give FREE help to people in their own homes who are finding it difficult to cope following illness etc.  For a sponsorship form, call Lesley on 968 134 978 or email helpathomespain@gmail.com

The first round of the Spanish supermoto championship takes place at the Chicharra Karting circuit in Villena, Alicante on Sunday 27th April. With both of the Ford-Dunn brothers from Murcia competing in the open and Master championship classes the action is sure to be fast and exciting. The Chicharra race circuit features a variety of both high and low speed corners before the riders fire themselves off one of the faster curves into the off road section with high speed jumps and turns before rejoining the circuit to complete the lap. The racing is always close in the tight and technical circuit.
Mat and Anthony Ford-Dunn have been busy already this season with both brothers taking a double win each, in their respective classes at the first round of the Catalan championship held back in March.  But their next biggest challenge comes over the Easter weekend when the brothers travel to France for the first round of the world championships where they take on the world’s best supermoto racers. The learning curve will be steep but what better way to prepare for the following weekends Spanish championship round at Villena.
As usual the Supermotoland race team with their sponsors Advance Moves International Removals and Stratton Motorsports, will be in the race paddock to welcome anyone wishing to attend the Villena race meeting, with racing starting at 10.00 hrs on the Sunday 27th April and the circuit is easy to locate on the CV-81 road from Villena to Yecla.
