On Saturday, July 15, the colourful Summer Carnival returns
to Puerto de Mazarrón. Fifth edition of an event that this year will congregate
a total of 21 groups, 10 of them coming from different places in the Region of
Murcia. The total number of participants exceeds 650
The event will start at 9:30pm, from the Rolandi del Paseo
Marítimo in Puerto de Mazarrón to the Plaza de las Comunidades Autónomas. The
City Council will place chairs at the last point of the route, where more
influx of public is expected. In order to purchase a seat, a donation of 1€
will be made to the Red Cross.
After the parade, the party moves to the beach of Puerto on
a stage from which will be announced the ruling of the jury appointed by the
Department of Festivities of the City of Mazarrón. The five best groups will be
selected and there will be mentions to the most spectacular, the headdress, the
colour, the elegance, the choreography and the originality. All participating
clubs will receive a diploma accrediting their presence in the Summer Carnival
of Puerto de Mazarrón.
