On Thursday 17^th January 2013 a SIXTIES NIGHT will be held at The Lodosol, San Pedro del Pinatar at 7.30 for 8 p.m.  Tickets are €6.50 which includes entertainment and a two-course meal (starter and main course or main course and pudding).  Get your tickets early as numbers are restricted.  Fancy dress is optional!

There is a Benefit Gala to raise money for cancer being held on 28 and 29 December at 7.30pm in Teatro Trieta, Moratalla

CHARITY WALK IN MORATALLA - 30 DECEMBER

Caritas and the various sports associations of Moratalla, have launched this year's "I Run for Caritas Solidarity" at Moratalla which will be held on Sunday December 30th, 2012 at 11:00 H. This initiative was created to raise money, nonperishable food items and necessities to needy families in the town

It will have two routes, one short of about 3 km running through asphalt or concreted areas (accessible to any walkers) and a longer one of about 7 km approx. consisting of road and camino running . Both runs will start and finish in the garden of "La Glorieta" in Moratalla.

The inscription of "Dorsal solidario" is 5 €, and payment can be made in the Informajoven in the mornings (08:00 h to 15:00 h) and at the Tourism Office in the afternoons and weekends ( from 16:00 to 18:30 and Saturdays from 14:00 H 10:00 H), both situated in Moratalla Town Hall. Registration can take place between 17 and 27 December (inclusive).

Caritas will also be accepting donations of nonperishable food and staple items the day of the run.

Collection of food for families in need through Mazarron Foundation "Jose Gaspar".

Friday 28th at 11.30am: Recycling Workshop for children. Plaza de Toneleros

Saturday 29th at 5pm: Gymkhana • "Mazarrón recycled", Plaza de Toneleros

Sunday December 30: Mass at 11.30am in Balsicas, recreating the famous scene, paella for everyone and evening party in the school hall with a musical performance by David Andreu

Wednesday 2nd January between 6.30pm and 8.30pm:  Cartero Royal and chocolate in Casino Cultural in Mazarrón and Plaza de Toneleros. In Puerto the chocolate is courtesy of Chocolate and Churreria "La Veterana" and cakes courtesy of bakery "Capelini".

Saturday January 5 at 4 pm:  arrival of the Reyes Magos de Oriente to the fishing port of Puerto de Mazarrón, delivering gifts to children in the municipal market of Puerto de Mazarrón, later the Reyes Magos depart from the Centro Municipal de Día in Calle Luís de Anta delivering gifts to children in the Town Hall

WALK IN MORATALLA, 16 DECEMBER

Discovering Moratalla, is pleased to announce that at the beginning of our next excursion, the last of 2012, we will be tasting typical Christmas sweets from local artisans, under the programme "Degustando Moratalla", courtesy of the establishment Panadería-Bollería José María, situated in c/. Del Molino s/n de Cañada de la Cruz, Moratalla.

During the activity, we will learn some of the secrets and the good work of this artisan craft, and you can enjoy freshly prepared products, with the whole range available for purchase.

We recommend breakfast is light in order to enjoy this more thoroughly !
